SPACE India has launched an innovative and contemporary method to encourage enthusiastic individuals and students to share the concepts of Astronomy and Space Sciences through the medium of video podcasts as SPACE Astro Video Podcast Contest to in 2016, for the first time.
Now, its time to bring up the momentum and participate in the second SPACE Astro Video Podcast Contest to be conducted from July 15-August 15, 2017. By participating in the Competition, students will be able to broadcast their talents on the online media platform, which has a large number of global audiences. Students can choose an innovative topic, describe it or do a demonstration and upload it online.
Podcasting is an easy and powerful way to communicate ideas and messages. An individual can potentially reach a larger audience and attract people through the Audio-Visual medium. Podcasts can help individuals develop their ideas with speech and expression in Audio-Visual mode and share it with others to aware, educate, entertain and inform.
By participating in the Contest, students will be using their skills in educative research to broadcast their podcast on online platform, which has a large global audience. A student can choose an innovative topic, develop it with speech and expression and upload it online, which can educate others with empirical methods of learning Science.

SPACE India has received prolific and commendable videos presented on different topics in education Astronomy and Space Sciences. SPACE Astro Video Podcast Contest was launched keeping in thought the boom of internet & social media in consideration, SPACE came up with an innovative and contemporary method for enthusiastic individuals and students to educate people on Astronomy & Space Sciences through Video Astro Podcast contest started August 15 onwards.
The Contest has promoted Digital India Campaign announced by the Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi. By participating in the Competition, students displayed their talents on online media platforms, which have a large number of global audiences and has seen a participation of over 2,000 entries pan India.
Students have chosen an innovative topic, developed it with speech and expression and uploaded it online through the format of Video Podcasting, which is an easy and powerful way to communicate the ideas and messages. An individual can potentially reach a larger audience and attracts people Audio-Visual medium.
As a renowned gesture in the field of art, science and creativity, Dr. Nimish Kapoor, Scientist ‘E’ & Head, Science Films’ Division, VIGYAN PRASAR. Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and Mr. Dilip Jha, Programmer-Science Cell, All India Radio (AIR) has judged the entries and guided us to pick the best out of all shortlisted entries as winners in various categories.
