Celebrate Celestial event “International Observe the Moon Night” on October 5th, 2019 

SPACE India will be celebrating the “International Observe the Moon Night” on Saturday, October 5th all across India at different venues.
International Observe the Moon Night is an annual worldwide public event that encourages observation, appreciation and understanding of our moon and its connection to NASA planetary science and exploration. The annual event connects scientists, educators and lunar enthusiasts from around the world. The event will include Lunar (Moon) Observation. Everyone on Earth is invited to dedicate one day each year for observing and learning about the Moon. All are encouraged to go out and observe the moon after the sunsets.

SPACE India, the pioneer organization is working towards the development of science and astronomy in India has been changing the face of science and astronomy awareness, education and innovation in India through path-breaking concepts, services, and programs. SPACE India has not only successfully implemented an astronomy and space science curriculum in the Indian education system but has also provided international platforms to Indian students, where they distinctively contribute to scientific discoveries at a very early age.

International Observe the Moon Night is an opportunity to celebrate new scientific discoveries as well as our personal and cultural connections to the Moon. The Moon is a cornerstone of Solar System science; a stepping-stone for exploration beyond our celestial backyard.
International Observe the Moon Night is sponsored by NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) mission and partners. LRO is managed by NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Centre in Greenbelt, Maryland, for the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
