Winners announced for Global Astronomy Month 2017


As you all know Global Astronomy month (GAM) is organized every year in April by the international organization Astronomers Without Borders (AWB), with an aim to unite enthusiasts worldwide in celebrating Astronomy following AWB’s motto – One People, One Sky. SPACE conducts a variety of astronomy programmes for students and the public during this month to partner with GAM in creating interest in Astronomy.

Joining the global celebrations and encouraging GAM in India, SPACE India has celebrated the month across the nation with an active participation of 45,000 students from more than 50 schools, across 9 states of India.

Largest Gathering at a Single Activity
Winner: Indraprastha World School, Paschim Vihar, Delhi
